Ethics Commission

The City of Boise Ethics Commission, the first of its kind in Idaho, issues advisory opinions, hears inquiries, and publishes findings and recommendations regarding alleged violations of the city's ethics policy by city employees and elected officials.  The commission consists of five volunteer members:  two appointed by the City Council, two appointed by the mayor, and an employee of the city who is nominated by the City's Employee Advisory Committee and appointed by the other four commission members.  The commission works in consultation with the offices of the City Attorney and Human Resources, and meets approximately once per month, more often if necessary.
